How to do it
- Stand with feet apart and firmly planted, knees relaxed and hands lightly in front of your chest. Breathe naturally.
- Keep your lower body roughly forward and gently turn your upper body right and back to centre, then left and back. Move slowly within a comfortable range without swinging.
- Alternate sides for 5 turns each way, then face forward and relax your arms.
Make it easier
- Use a smaller turn and keep both feet firmly planted.
When to stop or adjust
- Stop for pain, marked dizziness or unsteadiness; settle into a stable seated or supported standing position.
