Preparation & finishing

Slow march

March easily and gradually slow down, allowing your breathing and effort to ease.

← Back to the training library

How to do it

  1. Breathe naturally and march easily on a level, nonslip floor, letting your arms swing.
  2. Gradually make the steps smaller and slower, without high knees or extra training effort.
  3. Plant both feet, then rest in a steady standing or seated position.

Make it easier

  • Slow down, lift your feet less and use stable support if needed.

When to stop or adjust

  • Stop for pain, marked dizziness or unsteadiness; settle into a stable seated or supported standing position.
