How to do it

  1. Stand steadily beside a stable support, or sit on a stable chair with your feet planted.
  2. Relax your shoulders and breathe naturally. No counting, forced deep breaths or breath holding is needed.
  3. Allow about thirty seconds and finish when comfortable. If you still feel uncomfortable, keep resting rather than rushing to finish.

Make it easier

  • Choose a seated position with stable support.

When to stop or adjust

  • Stop for pain, marked dizziness or unsteadiness; settle into a stable seated or supported standing position.
