Gently move the sides of your body.
How to do it
- Stand with feet comfortably apart, knees relaxed and arms resting at your sides.
- Breathe naturally and bend your upper body gently to one side, sliding that hand down the outer thigh, with your chest forward and hips steady.
- Pause about 2 seconds within a comfortable range, then return upright to complete one repetition on that side. Do not fold forward, twist or simply shift your whole body sideways.
- Complete one side before switching; finish standing comfortably.
Make it easier
- Use stable support and a smaller range, or sit steadily.
Common mistakes
- Avoid twisting, bouncing or bending into pain.
When to stop or adjust
- Stop or modify for pain, dizziness or inability to control the movement.
